This is a beautiful eight pointer from Eddie Cohen of gorgeous deep black ebony and bold spalted maple burl, adorned with some of his fanciest ringwork. All in all, and exquisite cue.

This is a pre-owned cue that is nearly unplayed and in almost new condition. I would put it at 98%. The only sign of use is one shaft which looks like it has received very, very light play. (I knew the previous owner, who was a serious collector who kept all his cues in immaculate condition. Most were test-hit only.)

The splated maple burl is almost unbelievable ... if you didn't see it, you wouldn't believe how pretty and figured it is.

Framed against the black ebony background, separated with white natural wood veneers, the spalted burl is probably the star of this stick, but everything about it reeks of pure class.

Eddie is known for his fancy and unique ring patterns. This one is my favorite. Reminiscent of an old ring pattern that Bill Stroud used to occasionally use in his fanciest Josswest cues, it uses a circle of "X"s, separated with dots of silver, and framed between two white rings.

And, he uses them generously throughout the cue - nine times, including on the joint protectors. (If you order these on one of his cues, he adds about $250 per ringset, so this cue has about $2000 in ringwork alone on a custom order.)

This wood is world-class. The grain and figure is outstanding - almost three-dimensional.

He doesn't cue corners on this cue anywhere. The wrap is an exquisite black Spanish bull leather ... my personal favorite.

The veneers are really sharp and bright. The white provides an excellent contrast against the sheer black ebony, and all the points - four high, four low - are sharp and even.

It comes with a very fancy set of matching joint caps. All are built with the fancy rings, are made from more of the gorgeous ebony, with white elforyn tops and individually engraved.

It is built with a 3/8 X 10 steel pin in a flat-faced joint. It comes with two 13mm shafts with Tomahawk ferrules and Zan medium tips. It weighs 19.1 oz (15.1, 4.0, 4.1) and is 58 inches long.
