JOSH TREADWAY
EBONY MERRY WIDOW
WITH BLACK AND WHITE EBONY HANDLE
Here is a wonderful cue from Josh Treadway that is both beautiful and plays great ... and very affordable. It's a fairly simple merry widow design dressed up with gorgeous wood and fancy rings.
It is built from ebony in the forearm and butt sleeve, and for contrast, he uses a dazzling piece of black and white ebony in the handle. If you like wrapless cues and want something that is both simple and elegant, this is a great choice.
The rings are elegant and unique. They are built with two silver rings which enclose an inner ring made up of silver dots and white LBM ovals with sharpened ends. It's a unique pattern, and I don't recall seeing it before. And he doesn't use them sparingly - they are at all locations.
Both the joint and butt cap are made from white LBM (linen-based material), and they provide a nice highlight and contrast to all the dark ebony.
I hope the pictures do an adequate job of showing the beautiful wood in this stick. It is truly stunning.
And of course, like all Treadways, they have a great touch and feel to them, with excellent balance and nice feedback when striking the ball.
It is built with a stainless steel radial pin in a flat-faced joint. It is 58 inches long, and comes with two of Josh's premium maple shafts with a high grain count and with LBM ferrules. It weighs 20.2 ounces (16.4, 3.8, 3.8). This cue will make someone an outstanding every day cue.
