This is a great old set of ivory three-cushion balls, circa 1920-1930. They're in good condition and are still in the original Brunswick-Balke-Collender wooden box. They came out of an old pool room in Kansas City, and are valued at about $500.00.

This is really an unusual set of balls. They're not ivory, and not clay, but appear to be a composite of some kind. You'll note from the picture that there are two reds and a white... perhaps a mismatched set. The beautiful felt-lined box is custom made of oak and very old. It still has an original handwritten label inside the lid that says "Straight-Rail", with the notations "#13" (probably a table number), "101", and a date, which appears to be September, 1930. The whole set is in really good condition.

This set is also unique. They are in the original cardboard box that says they are from Brunswick-Balke-Collender, and are "Compo-Ivory Billiard Balls." The box is stamped on the end with the size: 2-3/16. In the picture they appear to be all white, but one or possibly two of them were red -- the color has faded away. They show quite a bit of cracking and aging, and I guess them to be from the 20's or 30's. They're probably some of the earliest composite balls.
