Here is another stunning cue by Tim Prince. In addition to being a great playing cue, it is a very handsome stick that stands out in the crowd.

Made from an exquisite piece of show quality cocobolo, this is a very pretty cue. The wood is radiant, with great color and figure.

The design is fairly simple, but in the hands of a cue maker like Tim, it quickly becomes something special. In both the forearm and the butt sleeve he inlays a brilliant notched diamond, with copper rays radiating out from it, giving it the appearance of a brilliant shining star in a nighttime sky.

The gallery-quality cocobolo is magnificent. It has a pleasant reddish-brown color, and the grain and figure is top-notch. It is really resplendent wood.

The design in the forearm and the butt sleeve are primarily the same, except the rays coming from the notched diamond extend farther in the forearm.

I'm happy he decided to save this wood for a cue design which allows it to show off. Frequently great pieces of wood are not allowed to shine because of points and heavy inlay work. In this cue, the cocobolo is allowed to show its stuff.

Tim likes to work with silver and copper wire inlays -something at which he is very good. His work is always delicate and precise, and this stick really demonstrates some of his best work.

As he often does, he adds very handsome rings. In this case, they consist of short pieces of alternating silver and copper wire wrapped around small white LBM notched diamonds, forming beautiful rings that he uses above the butt cap, below and above the wrap, at the joint, and on the shaft ring collars.

He adds a very nice wrap of textured, black leather. It has a nice, soft feel that will get even better with time.

This is a very pretty cue. It's made with a 3/8 X 10 stainless steel pin in a flat-faced joint. It comes with two premium maple 13mm shafts with Sabre-T LBM ferrules and Ultraskin tips. It weighs either 19.7 or 19.8 depending on which shaft is used (16.3, 3.4, 3.5), and is 58 inches long. This is another brand new cue straight from Tim's shop.
