| ICCS BURL WOOD COLLECTION CUE BY NITTI |
I am especially pleased to be able to present this exquisite cue by Chris Nitti. It was his entry into the International Cue Collector Show Special Collection this year. The theme this year was "Burl Wood" and Chris chose a beautiful piece of amboyna burl from which to create his entry. All cues were auctioned off at the show, and I was proud to obtain this one.

I'm a big believer in Nitti cues. I love the way they play, and I believe his work to be as tight and solid as anybody out there making cues. This cue is just one more example of his great work. It uses only two materials - amboyna burl and ivory - and there is a ton of ivory in this cue. Chris told me the hour-glass inlays in the butt sleeve alone were nearly a half-inch thick because of the thickness needed to make the curve with the contour of the cue.

The butt plate of the cue is engraved, indicating that the cue was a part of the ICCS Special Collection. It is ivory, like everything else white on this cue. Chris told me he could have probably made a solid ivory handled cue and not used much more ivory than he used in this cue.

I love the simplicity of this cue. A simple, beautiful piece of wood with lots of pure white ivory. The contrast is striking and the result is gorgeous.

He added a honey brown textured leather wrap, which really complements the overall color of the cue. Also notice that these rings are solid ivory with small inlays of amboyna. And he repeats these rings in the joint protectors, which are really elegant.

This cue comes fitted with a flat-faced solid ivory joint with a radial pin. It weighs 19.8 ounces. It has two 13mm shafts with ivory ferrules and beautiful matching joint protectors on both the butt and the shafts.
But wait, there's more. It also comes with a special custom made GTF case with the inscription "Cue By Nitti." The case is perfectly matched to the colors of the cue. This is a great collectible, but can also become a beautiful playing cue for someone.
