DAVE KIKEL
TULIPWOOD AND CURLY MAPLE
 FOUR POINT

As you can probably tell, I'm very proud to be a Kikel dealer.  Dave doesn't make a huge number of cues (about 30-35 a year) and concentrates on making great playing cues.  (Read about his choice of shaft wood in my description of his "Anniversary Cue.")  This one is typical of his work.  It's a relatively basic design, but is still unique and attractive.  And, it plays great.  (Every time I test hit one of Dave's cues I want to make it my player!)

Dave starts this cue with a nose of nicely figured curly maple and adds tulipwood points and a tulipwood butt sleeve.  Each point is accentuated with four-color wood veneers.  He finishes the butt sleeve with an ivory Hoppe-style ring, and adds matching ivory ringwork in the joint collars.

It's fitted with a 5/16X14 piloted ivory joint for great playability.  (His tolerances are super tight.)  It has two 13mm shafts of his select wood topped with ivory ferrules and sumo tips.  It weighs 19.0 ounces.  A great cue for the price!
