JACOBY "BLACK"
V4 CARBON FIBER
LOW DEFLECTION SHAFTS
|
With the interest these days in carbon fiber shafts, we decided we wanted to carry the best. I occasionally get high end custom cue customers who buy a collectible cue, and want to keep the original shafts new, so this gives them an option to do that. Other players, who are buying a cue to play with everyday, are partial to the hit of the CFs, so I'm making this option available to them as well.
I've hit with almost all of the different CFs offered by all the different suppliers, and I like the ones manufactured by Jacoby Cues as much as any of them. Like all of the carbon fibers offered these days, they minimize deflection, but do it with minimal change in the sound they make and the way they feel. For people who don't like the sound the CFs generally make, the Jacoby Black minimizes this. I have had people who were playing with another brand take their CF off, put the Jacoby Black on, and after a game or two they want to trade theirs for mine.

There are a number of variations in which these shafts are manufactured, in order to accomodate as many different cues as possible. First, they are made in all the common pin and thread sizes, then those are made in a variety of diameters (at the joint) to fit cues of different diameters, and then they are also built in a variety of different shaft sizes, generally in three sizes, 11.8, 12.3 and 12.7 mm. And, in one final option, some are offered in a length of 30 inches, rather than the traditional 29. (It's difficult to keep all these combinations of options in stock, but I try.)
If you decide you want one for a new cue or a cue you already have, let me know what you need and I will work with you to try to get you the best possible fit to your needs. (I will normally beat any of the big billiard supply houses on price.)

All of these shafts come with a Kamui Tan soft tip. I typically don't like soft tips, but these aren't really all that soft, so I recommend playing with it for a few days before changing it, if necessary.

You can read more about these excellent CF shafts on the Jacoby website. I'm a Jacoby dealer, and sell them for the same price as they do. I try to keep as many different sizes and variations as I can in stock, so I can supply your needs immediately. For the most part, I do this as a convenience to my customers, and provide "one stop" shopping when it comes to your custom cue needs.

Each shaft comes packaged in a plastic tube, labeled with all the specific details in regard to that shaft.
