Ginacue Classic in
Ebony and Ivory

Here is a Ginacue classic.  For Ginacue officionados, you may recognize it as his old model 14B, only this one is dressed up, tuxedo style, all in classic ebony and ivory with mother of pearl inlays.  These aren't being made anymore with ivory, so finding one in new condition like this is a rarity.

This cue came from a private collection, and although it was made in 1992, it has been locked away and is still unplayed and unchalked, and in absolutely "new" condition.  It is one of Ernie's most elegant designs, and when made all in black and white - ebony and ivory - it is at its best.

Here is part of Ernie's original description of this cue:  "Black African Gabon ebony in both forearm and butt with 8 creamy white ivory prongs.  All prongs are crowned with delicate cloverleaves highlighted with black Tahitian pearl."

Everything white in this cue is ivory except the butt cap.  For those of you who have been hoping to get your hands on a classic ivory cue while you still can, you can't get much better than this.  It's loaded up.

It has a beautiful black leather wrap, expertly applied by Ernie, which looks great and feels good in the hand.  He adds an elegant ring pattern of silver rings and mother of pearl dots below and above the wrap, at the joint and on the ring collars of the two shafts.

As always, he engraves the Ginacue logo in the butt cap, as well as inside the joint in the ivory.  He includes a custom set of joint protectors to match the cue - all ebony and ivory, and engraved with his logo.  The butt pin protector is my favorite - his sawtooth design.

He builds this with his traditional 5/16X14 pin, in his piloted joint that he uses in all his cues.  This cue is as traditional and classic as they come, and a Ginacue masterpiece.  I test hit it a few times, and it hits as good now as it did the day it was made.  So play it, or lock it up for posterity, but don't pass it up.

This cue comes with two 13mm shafts of Ernie's top quality maple, with ivory ferrules.  The shafts are unplayed and still new.  It weighs 19.6 ounces.  This cue will never be made with ivory again, and finding one in this condition new is very rare.   A Ginacue like this is as good an investment as you can find in the cue world.
