GILBERT JUMP/BREAK CUES "THE CLASSIC"
|
It's not necessary to say a lot about these cues. They have a reputation among many top players as being the "standard" when it comes to jump/break cues. They're priced right, and, as all Gilbert cues, top quality. These cues hit the ball hard, and when detached, jump great. They're not overly fancy, but the combination of birds-eye maple with various full grained woods make for a simple but pretty cue.

The cue pictured here is in maple and purpleheart, but I them in various combinations. These cues are difficult to keep in stock, so the wood combinations I have are always changing. (At the bottom of the page are some pictures I took quickly of two new ones I just received. One is tulipwood and maple and weighs 19.4 oz; the other is in kingwood and maple and weighs 18.8 oz.) I frequently have them in purpleheart, kingwood and tulipwood, and the weights always vary slightly, so it's best to email me to find out exactly what I have in stock. They're all good looking, and have the great hit that Andy's J/B cues are known for. They are in great demand.

They come with just one shaft, and it has a leather tip so that it's legal in all situations. (I understand the BCA just banned the phenolic tips in their tournaments.) They all weigh in at about 19 ounces, the ideal weight (according to most players) for a break cue. (Velocity is more important than mass. Unfortunately, you can't buy a faster arm!) Andy has sold a ton of these cues, and they're in great demand.
PRICE: $450 plus shipping.
