Recollection Cues

Collectible Cues, Cases & Quality Players

Here is one more from David Elliott that again relies on the natural beauty of the woods to create a very pretty cue.  He uses a very nice piece of ebony in both the butt sleeve and the nose, and for the handle a pretty piece of bubinga.

The ebony is nice and black.  It is really a nice contrast with the bubinga handle.  As with all the cues I've seen from David, the work is meticulous and tight.

The bubinga is also nice.  It has a nice brown maple color with a nice grain.

The contrast between the two woods is really striking.  This is a great cue for someone who prefers the wrapless feel.

Above and below the bubinga handle, above the butt cap, and at the joint he uses a really classy ring pattern.  He uses a double ring of white, as he does on a lot of his cues, but adds white squares.  Nice rings - they are simple, but elegant.  They frame the handle nicely.

He uses the same ring at the joint and on the ring collars of the shafts.

As usual, he engraves his "E" logo in the butt cap.  The cap and the joint are both of white elforyn.

Here is a close-up picture that shows the beauty of the bubinga in this handle.

He builds this one with a white elforyn sleeve over a wood joint, with a stainless steel radial pin.  It hits stiff, soft and solid.  If you're familiar with the great hit of "Nitti" cues, you'll like this cue equally well.

It comes with two 13mm shafts of top quality maple, with linen-based melamine ferrules and soft Wizard tips.  It weighs19.4 ounces.

This is a very pretty cue, with a great hit, for a very reasonable price.
