DAVID ELLIOTT
BIRDS-EYE MAPLE MERRY WIDOW
WITH BLACK LEATHER WRAP
For anyone who hasn't realized what great cues David Elliott is making, it's time to take notice. For the most part, he makes relatively simple, very affordable player cues, even though he has recently stepped up with some fancier cues on special order. But the important thing is that he is making very nice sticks working in the Nitti shop, on the same equipment and with the same techniques, and they play and look very, very nice.
This one is built with pretty birdseye maple with a black leather wrap on the handle. It's a simple merry widow design with pretty wood and clean, classy rings.
This is a very unique piece of wood. It is definitely birds-eye maple, but also has some curl in it. Very pretty color and brightness with lots of birds-eye.
He adds his own unique rectangle in ebony ring pattern, which he frequently uses on his basic cues, and then applies it in all locations - above the butt cap, below and above the handle, at the joint and on the shaft ring collars.
He adds a very nice black, pebbled leather wrap which looks great on the stick and feels good in the hand.
He also adds a black phenolic butt cap and matching joint, which is the perfect look for this stick.
It comes with two of his high quality 13mm maple shafts with LBM ferrules and Lepro medium tips. It is 58 inches long and weighs 18.7 ounces (14.7, 3.9, 3.8). It is built with a stainless steel radial pin in a flat-faced joint - a great playing stick!
