Recollection Cues

Collectible Cues, Cases & Quality Players

This is a beautiful cue by David Elliott.  It uses some of the prettiest purpleheart I've seen in a basic four point design, allowing the wood to show at its best.

The ebony points are also made from excellent quality wood - deep, dark ebony beautifully contrasting against the brilliant purple background.

The purpleheart has a rich, wavy look to it.  It's highly figured and consistent throughout.

The points are long, sharp and even, and beautifully veneered.  And of course, as always, this cue plays great.  Elliott cues have the same great hit that have been coming out of the Nitti shop for many years, with David working in the same manner and on the same equipment that has turned out hundreds of great hitting cues.

It is built with a black phenolic butt cap, topped with a white elforyn check ring, and engraved with the Elliott logo.

He uses the same white check ring above and below the wrap, at the joint, and on the ring collars of the shafts.  It's a classy and slick ring that adds a lot to the overall look of the stick.

The veneer colors are unusual - orange, purple, orange and a thin black layer that's either very thin black wood or black construction paper (I can't tell by looking).  The overall effect of the combination of colors really goes well against the dazzling purpleheart.

To complement the ebony and other black phenolic components of the cue, he builds it with a black phenolic joint.

This black leather wraps he used on the last batch of cues I bought from him is irresistible.  It's soft and supple, and very high quality leather that feels great in your hand and will last a long, long time.

It comes with two of David's premium maple 13mm shafts with LBM ferrules and layered medium Wizard tips.  It's built with a stainless steel radial pin, and plays like a dream.  It weighs either 19.0 or 19.15, depending on which shaft is used (15.0, 4.0, 4.15).  It is 58 inches long.
