If you like curly maple - really, really pretty curly maple - this is a cue for you. The figure in this wood is incredible, bright with a nice tone, and lots and lots of stripes.

David Elliott has been making great looking cues for a number of years now, working in the same shop with Chris Nitti. And while he makes highrer end cues as well, he spends much of his time making very affordable, player-level cues. This simple merry widow design is that type of cue.

The quality of Elliott cues is superb. His work is sharp, and his finishes are splendid. When you lay them beside a lot of other cues the effect is obvious. He tells me it's all in the hand polishing that he spends a lot of time on.

He dresses up this simple design with a classy "Hoppe" style white ring above the black phenolic butt cap, engraved with his "E" logo.

This curly maple is exquisite - very good quality wood. The curly effect is amazing.

He uses a black ring above and below the handle with a white checked square pattern that is really pretty.

I love the wrap on this cue. It's black leather with a nice textured finish. It looks and feels like elephant ear, but it's not. It has a soft finish that feels wonderful in your hand.

He uses the same ring pattern at the joint and on the ring collars of the shafts. This cue comes with two of David's premium quality maple 13mm shafts, with white melamine ferrules and layered medium Wizard tips. It is made with a stainless steel radial pin in a flat-faced joint. It weighs 18.7 ounces (15.0, 3.7, 3.7) and is 58 inches long.
This cue has the same great hit that all Elliott cues have - soft, firm and solid.
