DURBIN SPALDED MAPLE BURL COCOBOLO SIX POINT
|
I felt fortunate to be able to obtain two cues from Mike made from this outstanding spalded burl. It looks almost like chemically impregnated wood, but Mike created a similar effect by sealing the wood himself. It makes a great looking nose for this cue.

He builds what turns out to be a gorgeous cue by adding six points of cocobolo (three short, three long), a matching cocobolo butt sleeve and then adding a white phenolic ring at the butt cap. He then adds double-checked ringwork at all locations for extra highlights.

This cue comes wrapped with a black, textured leather that looks and feels great. He uses a piloted stainless steel joint on this one, with a 5/16 X 14 pin. (One thing Mike does that is unique is to leave a small ring of wood inside the steel joint that grips the piloted knob of the shaft when screwed together, adding a nice tight fit and extra protection.)

This cue weight 19.1 ounces and comes with two 13mm shafts. It is a new cue straight from Mike's shop.
