EDDIE COHEN FOUR POINT
SNAKEWOOD AND EBONY
WITH FANCY RINGS

Here is another elegant cue from Eddie Cohen in my favorite wood combination - snakewood and ebony.  He uses very high quality woods.  The snakewood has excellent grain, and the ebony is black, black, black.  These two woods go together like no two other woods, in my opinion, and they always result in a cue of pure class.

In this stick, Eddie uses a white/black/white veneer combination to provide separation between the two woods, and it does a nice job of separating them while at the same time allowing each wood to show off.

The butt sleeve itself is all snakewood, but is perfectly framed between the two fancy rings.

There's no need to say a lot about this cue.  The pictures really tell the story.  The only thing they can't tell you is how well it plays.  Eddie's cues all play well, and this one is no exception.

Just take a look at the grain in this snakewood!

He uses a richly brown colored elephant print leather wrap that feels really nice and looks even better.  This color was an excellent choice for this cue.

As usual, he engraves his logo (name) in the butt cap.  In this case, the cap itself is black phenolic.

What makes this cue extra, extra special, though, is the addition of one of Eddie's nicest ring designs.  He normally charges $150 per ring for these on custom orders, so it doesn't take long for the cost to shoot up when he uses them as liberally as he did in this stick.  There are six sets overall.

Eddie is known for having special rings on all his cues, but this pattern might be my favorite.

He builds this cue with a 3/8X10 stainless steel pin in a flat faced joint configuration, using a black phenolic sleeve over wood.  It comes with two 13mm shafts of premium maple, with Tomahawk ferrules and Triangle tips.  It weighs 18.95 ounces.  Because of the expensive woods and fancy rings, this cue isn't inexpensive, but it is truly beautiful.
