Recollection Cues

Collectible Cues, Cases & Quality Players

This is another very pretty cue from Eddie Cohen in California.  He continues to make very nice cues, aided by his seemingly endless supply of beautiful, high quality wood.  This one is made of pretty birdseye maple and gorgeous cocobolo.

As you can tell from the pictures, the nose and butt sleeve of this stick are built from birdseye maple, while the handle is one large piece of highly figured and colorful cocobolo.

This maple is chock full of lots of "birds eyes" and is nice and bright.  The cocobolo shows lots of grain and figure, and has a very pleasing reddish-brown color.

He adds some nice "railroad track" maple rings at the butt cap, below and above the wrap, at the joint, and on the ring collars of the shafts.  They help provide separation of the woods, and add pretty accents to the overall look of the cue.

Just take a look at the beautiful birdseye in the butt sleeve.

This is a very basically designed, reasonably priced cue from one of the top cuemakers.  Although a simple merry widow design, it is dressed up nicely with the beautiful woods and the well-placed rings.

Of course, the best thing about any Cohen cue is how well they hit.  They are made by a player for players - he knows how a cue should hit, and builds them accordingly.

He uses a very popular ring pattern that is simple and subtle, and they provide the perfect accents for this cue.

He builds this cue with a flat-faced joint with a stainless steel 3/8X10 pin. It comes with two 13mm shafts of Eddie's quality tight grained maple, with  Tomahawk ferrules and Triangle medium tips.  It weighs 19.1 ounces.

This is a very nice cue for someone who wants a pretty stick that plays great, by one of the best cuemakers in the industry, all for a very reasonable price.  This stick will make someone a very good everyday companion.
