Recollection Cues

Collectible Cues, Cases & Quality Players

This is a depression era set of clay chips in their original carrier with two vintage decks of cards.  The inside carrier lifts out of the box for ease of use.

I found this antique set of gaming chips in a flea market in Sao Paulo, Brazil.  These sets are common there, but you don't often see them this old.  The set's in its original box and in great shape.  It's probably from the 40's or possibly earlier.  Note the unusual valuations marked on the various chips, and also the assorted sizes and shapes of the chips themselves.

Again, this is a gaming chip set from South America, but this one's from Buenos Aires in Argentina.  It's not as old as the set pictured above, but probably goes back to the 50's.  It's in great condition and in the original case.  Notice again the odd shapes, size and valuations on the various chips.  I've been told that it's common to play a lot of "casino" type private games in South America, and these are sometimes referred to as "casino sets."
