CODY CASH
EBONY ON EBONY
FOUR POINT CUE
WITH BRIDGED POINTS,
MOTHER OF PEARL INLAY
 AND BRAIDED BRASS WIRE
"SHEER ELEGANCE"

Here is another very pretty cue from Cody Cash.  It's a four point design with simple, elegant inlay work, pretty wood, and excellent construction.  This is a new cue straight from Cody's shop in Wichita, Kansas.

It's an ebony on ebony cue - a favorite choice of woods for many buyers, and always classy looking.  Four long points of ebony into an ebony nose with an ebony butt sleeve.

He adds even more class to this one by building in beautiful ebony windows with a long notched mother of pearl inlay in the middle of each.

He frames each window with a combination of red, blue and white veneers, all separated with a thin line of black paper.  They're very thin and delicate, and he uses the same color combination to outline the ebony points.

These large notched diamond inlays really allow the mother of pearl to show itself off.  They look great framed by the black ebony window.

The points are long, sharp and even.  Again - ebony against ebony, perfectly framed with the same veneer colors as in the butt sleeve.  One of the things I always look for in a good cue design is that the forearm and butt sleeve complement each other fully.  This cue does a good job with that.

Taking his work to a new level, he builds this one with bridged points (veneered at the bottom of each).  It's just one more detail to add a bit more class to the cue.

Another look at this pretty veneer work ...

And as the final "coup de grace", he uses braided brass wire to form the rings that circle the cue above the butt cap, below and above the handle, at the joint, and on the ring collars of the shafts.

All in all, this is a gorgeous and classy stick.

As with all his cues, he inlays his PK logo in the butt cap.  And, as usual, this cue plays very well.  It has a nice solid hit, soft but firm and still crisp, with nice balance and excellent feedback.

I've watched Cody's cues for several years now and have seen how his work has grown in terms of design, workmanship and technical expertise.  This stick, with the use of black paper to enhance his veneers, sharp inlay work, bridged points and braided wire work, show how far his work has come.

The joint is ebony, with the braided brass ring work added,

He adds a very nice textured leather wrap that is soft and great to hold.

He builds it with a flat-faced joint and a 3/8X10 pin.  It is 58 inches long and weighs 19.3 ounces (15.6, 3.7, 3.8).  It comes with two 13mm premium maple shafts with a very pleasant semi-pro taper, with Juma ferrules and medium LePro tips.  Each shaft measures 13.0mm just below the ferrule.
