Recollection Cues

Collectible Cues, Cases & Quality Players

Again, Ariel Carmeli hits it out of the park with this slick, traditional six point cue.  He always excels for several reasons - his tight meticulous work, his excellent finish, a great hit, and his outstanding choices of woods.  This cue shows how all those factors fit together to produce an excellent stick.

This is a six point "Southwest" style design in some of the finest ebony and bicote you'll see anywhere.  I picked these woods out months ago, before even the design was chosen, but there was no doubt we wanted a design that would allow the woods to show their stuff ... and this one does it.

The quality of this master grade Bicote is exceptional.  It is heavily knotted with great overall grain, and the color is superb.  It is a bright golden brown, and the design of this cue allows it show all its intensity, in both the nose and the butt sleeve.

The six points - three long and three short - allow the ebony to also show well.  They are framed using a slightly bleached maple veneer along with an ebony veneer, which provide the perfect contrast against the beautiful bicote background.

As Ariel always does with this design, he adds a very traditional "railroad track" ring pattern, again, using lightly bleached maple rings with ebony rectangles in between.  (It's the same ring design that was traditionally used by a lot of the old "Chicago school" cuemakers from the 80s and 90s.)

The points are even and sharp, showing the usual meticulous work you expect in a Carmeli.

He wraps it with a very nice black textured leather wrap that is expertly applied.  It looks good and feels good in the hand, and will wear well.

This bicote is ... almost ... unbelievable.

He builds it with his modified 3/8X10 stainless steel pin in a flat-faced wood to wood joint that will play exceptionally.  This is a chance to get a gorgeous cue by a top cue maker at a modest price.  (It's difficult to see in the picture below, but he signed and dated this cue under the finish just above the butt cap.)

It comes with two of his premium quality hard maple shafts with LBM melamine ferrules with Triangle medium tips.  It weighs 19.0 ounces and is 58 inches long.  Don't pass this one up!

(It also comes with a female extension bolt built in, so that an extension can be screwed in directly through the bumper without removing anything.  And, if you want to add it later, you don't have to send the cue back to be retrofitted.)
