ARIEL CARMELI
FOUR POINT EBONY & MAPLE
"RAZOR BLADE" CUE

Here's another very pretty cue from Ariel Carmeli that again shows why his cues are in such high demand.  This one is a classic four point design with "razor blade" windows in the butt sleeve.

Of course, the most important thing about any cue is how well it hits, and this cue stands up against that important criterion in every way.  It's a soft, solid hit, not overly stiff, and it just hits the way a great cue should hit.

This stick has a solid ebony butt sleeve and four ebony points going into a very pretty birds-eye maple nose.  Each ebony point has a multi-colored veneer pattern that creates a "flame" effect.

The butt sleeve is inlaid with a classy razor blade pattern, while there is a notched diamond in the base of each point.  All the white inlay is of elforyn, a linen-based ivory substitute material.  The butt cap and joint are also elforyn.

The points are nice and long, even and sharp.  The veneer pattern is outstanding, and really highlights the overall look of this cue.

Each of the "razor blades" has an additional notched diamond in their centers.  I love this inlay pattern - it's a new twist on an old, traditional design.

These veneers are nice - the black, red, orange and white (maple) create a great overall effect.

He uses a classic ring pattern at all locations.

As usual, he signs and dates this cue under the finish.  In this case, it is on the maple between the points.

He applies a beautiful black Spanish Bull leather wrap.  This is my favorite wrap - it's supple in the hand and looks great.

He builds this one with his usual 3/8X10 modified stainless steel pin in a flat faced joint configuration.  It comes with two 13mm shafts of premium maple with melamine ferrules and Triangle tips.  It weighs 18.8 ounces.
