Recollection Cues

Collectible Cues, Cases & Quality Players

Here is an absolutely gorgeous cue by Carmeli.  He pulled out all the stops on this one - beautiful woods, some of his best ringwork and lots of Paui shell inlays.  All of his cues hit good, but they don't all LOOK this good!

There is a lot to say about this cue.  Let's start with the nose.  It is an ebony nose with six snakewood points outlined with black and white veneers.  The ebony is nice and black, and the snakewood is just outstanding - some of the best I've seen.

There are three long points and three short points, and in each he has inlaid a spearhead of Paui shell framed with white LBM melamine.

He adds what I think are his classiest rings - each one a set of small scalloped squares suspended over a set of nickel silver rings.  He puts them at all locations.

He applies my favorite wrap - Spanish bull.  I love the soft feel of it, and it's one of the best looking leathers being used today.

As pretty as the front of this cue is, the back end is where all the detail is.  He has put together an elaborate pattern of inlays, all of melamine and Paui shell.  I'm not even going to attempt to describe it.  I'll hope that the pictures tell the story.

He adds nice accents to this stick by putting on a while melamine butt cap and a matching white joint.

With his modified 3/8X10 stainless steel pin, flat joint, two 13mm shafts with LBM ferrules and Triangle tips, this stick is built to do more than look good, it's built to play.  It weighs 19.3 ounces.  This is a stick that will stand out in any pool room.
