CORY BARNHART
FOUR POINT CLASSIC
IN EBONY AND MAPLE
WITH MOTHER OF PEARL
AND FANCY RINGS

Here's a real beauty.  Cory Barnhart always makes great player cues, and although always attractive, most are somewhat understated - subtle cues that look like they mean business.  I don't think anyone would say this one is understated, though.  It is very, very pretty.

The butt sleeve is very traditional.  It's black ebony, with inlays of mother of pearl - notched diamonds and dots.  And, of course, Cory's always beautiful and usually fancy rings of silver dots.

The nose is of pretty birdseye maple with long ebony points reaching almost to the joint.  The points are framed with some of the prettiest veneer work I've seen lately.

The butt sleeve is capped with a white elforyn butt cap, beveled the way only Cory does.

At the base of each point is another inlaid mother of pearl notched diamond, with MOP dots.  And of course, the fancy ring above the wrap.

Take a good look at the preciseness of his inlay work - the sharpness of the details and clean appearance.

The veneer work is excellent - precise and clean.  And the colors are bright and beautiful ... black, red, green and white, all separated by black paper.  This little trick of using black construction paper between veneers isn't done by most cuemakers, but it makes a huge difference in the overall effect of the veneers.

Cory's points are always very long, sharp and even.  And in this case, they end in a very pretty piece of birdseye maple.

He builds it with a brass radial pin in a flat-faced elforyn joint.  It comes with two 13mm shafts of premium hard maple, with Juma ferrules and Everest tips.  It is 58 inches long and weighs 19.0 ounces.

This is a great-looking cue, but most important, it's a terrific playing cue.  His sticks always hit a ton.

He signs it "Barnhart" at the base of the butt sleeve, under the finish.
