I found this poster in an antique poster gallery in Chicago, and couldn't pass it up. It's a great addition to my billiard room... large, colorful, and authentic. It's a French poster from the 1930's, and very large, 32X46. Translated, it says (roughly) "One moves as smoothly as riding a bike on the billiard table, on the triumphant one. The balloon tire makes the road easy." I was told that the same company that made the rubber for the tire also made cushion rubber. Regardless, it's a great poster!

I found this antique print on a 1947 calendar in Buenos Aires. Three-cushion is a passion there, and there are still many old-style billiard rooms with lots of three-cushion tables. This poster depicts a tournament setting, and the detail in the picture is truly phenomenal. I've studied it for hours, and I continue to find new details that I hadn't seen before. It's almost as though the artist reproduced a photograph in its entirety. The artist's name is Vargas, and he's very well known throughout Argentina. It's 13X13 inches.
